How does it work?
Voltral Emulgel 2% is a combination of a gel & cream that is rapidly absorbed through the skin relieving pain at the source and helps reduce inflammation. 1g of Voltral Emulgel® 2% contains 23.2 mg of the active substance diclofenac diethylamine, which corresponds to 20 mg diclofenac sodium.
How to use?
Voltral Emulgel® 2% should be rubbed in gently into the skin. After application, the hands should be washed, unless they are the site being treated.
When to use it?
For the relief of pain, inflammation and swelling in:
- Soft tissue injuries: Trauma of the tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints, e.g. due to sprains, strains, bruises and backache (sports injuries).
- Localized forms of soft-tissue rheumatism, e.g. tendonitis (e.g tennis elbow), bursitis, shoulder-hand syndrome, and periarthropathy.
- For the relief of non serious arthritis of the knee or fingers.
What’s the recommended dosage?
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: The amount needed depends on the size of the painful area: 2g to 4g (a quantity ranging in size from a cherry to a walnut) of gel is sufficient to treat an area of about 400-800cm2 and should be applied 2 times a day (preferably morning and evening). Patients should consult their doctor if the condition does not improve or worsens within 7 days of starting the treatment. The product should not be used for more than 14 days for soft tissue injuries or soft tissue rheumatism or 21 days for arthritis pain unless recommended by a doctor.
