This medication is used to treat symptoms of a certain type of mental/mood condition (schizophrenia).

Drowsiness, lethargy, dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, loss of appetite, sweating, dry mouth, blurred vision, headache, and constipation may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

It is contraindicated in patients with suspected or established subcortical brain damage, in patients receiving large doses of hypnotics, and in comatose or severely depressed states.
