It is used to treat high blood pressure and also for the treatment of fluid retention (oedema), either in the legs (peripheral edema) or on the lungs (pulmonary oedema)

Nausea, diarrhea, blurred vision, dizziness, headache, photosensitivity, hypotension

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug
