It is used to prevent heart attacks and strokes in persons with heart disease (recent heart attack), recent stroke, or blood circulation disease (peripheral vascular disease).

Easy bleeding/bruising, stomach upset/pain, diarrhea, and constipation may occur. Tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly if any of these effects persist or worsen.

It is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to clopidogrel or any component of the product. Clopidogrel increases the risk of bleeding and is contraindicated in patients with active pathological bleeding including GI bleeding and intracranial bleeding.
