This medication is used for temporary relief of coughs without phlegm that are caused by certain infections of the air passages (e.g., sinusitis, common cold).

Slight drowsiness/dizziness, nausea, or vomiting may occur. Rarely, some people may experience severe drowsiness/dizziness with normal doses. Tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly if any of these effects persist or worsen.

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug.
